Week Three Social Listening

Callaway Golf has mostly good reviews on social media. On Instagram, a lot of people talk about how nice their new products look and how they wish they could have them. For example, when a new driver comes out and Callaway posts about it, people will be talking about how clean the design is, or about how they would buy it if they could afford it. Callaway is very interesting to me because I love golf and I know a lot of golf clubs, I even have a few Callaway clubs in my golf bag currently. Callaway's Value proposition is to make high-quality golf products at a premium price, they consider themselves the best of the best and strive to make products that fit their standard.  In a recent post, where Callaway released pictures of their new mini driver. The top comment was "Why do everything TaylorMade does? Come on y'all be ahead of the curve." (@thomasbarnesgolf). I am a big fan of sports such as football, golf, soccer, and basketball which is why this article stood out to me. Coors light teamed up with Patrick Mahomes in this marketing campaign to promote their beer. NFL officials called off the commercial because of rules about players promoting beer. Instead of just scrapping the project they decided to use this as publicity and put the commercial in a time capsule which was live streamed on June 28th. By doing this they overcome the challenge of breaking the NFL's rules about promoting beer brands. The NFL are the one

Hello Summer Marketing Class!

My name is Benjamin Teegarden, I am entering my second year at Oregon State University. I am Studying Supply Chain and Logistics Management with an option in international business. I am from Hillsboro Oregon where I attended Century High School. I am taking this class as it is required for my major. More specifically I am taking this summer because I plan to study abroad during my junior year and I need to get this class done because it is a prerequisite for other courses that I need to take before I can go study abroad.  For fun, I like to play golf. My dad started me with a golf club pretty much as soon as I could walk so I have been playing my entire life. I was on varsity all four years of high school and captain my senior year. I was voted for honorable mention all-league and qualified for the state tournament my senior year. I am nowhere near as good as I used to be, but I still enjoy playing as much as I can.
